Hi, I'm Tim Butler co-founder of Bigberry Digital, a digital agency that myself and Eliza Flynn set up back in April 2010. I started out life as a web developer for a WPP company in 2004, where I worked on several large accounts such as HSBC, Harvey Nichols, the Royals, MI5, the list goes on. Later on I joined a multinational company EF Education and moved to Zurich for 9 months, before parting ways to set up my own company. My main focus is on producing CMS enabled sites. Having worked with a few Content Management Systems (mojoportal, sitecore, umbraco) I now dedicate my time to producing sites in umbraco. I like to blog about technical solutions to common tasks in umbraco, as it helps me remember how I've solved a problem and hopefully helps the wider umbraco community. I have a number of other interests, such as my new found ukuele skills (recently started playing this year) and learning how to sail after going on a Day Skipper course. My ambition is to conquer all common modes of transport so that if world war 3 breaks out, I will be able to escape by land, sea or air :) |
Today I bought a boat is a blog about just that. I bought a 28ft racing yacht on a whim with no sailing experience. I'm now documenting my journey for myself and anyone else who may be interested. I'll let Mark Twain say the rest: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
